If the card cannot be found and the administration/caretaker does not have a list, the system must be checked by an electrician.
Situation: The WZU system does not work, or does not work properly, despite a tenant card being inserted.
The following points show you possible problems and their causes.
1) The LED fault lamp and its functions:
If the LED lamp flashes evenly, once per second, when the card is inserted, a defect in the user card can be ruled out.
2) Check if the contactor is working
If the contactor pulls, a wiring error can be ruled out.
By placing a bridge between terminal “A” and numbers 1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8 you can check whether the contactor is working properly.
3) Check the card reader / power supply connection
If the connecting wires are connected correctly, the following voltage values must be present:
A to B = 24 volts = in idle state (no card inserted)
A to C = 1.3 volts
A to D = 1.3 volts
A to D = voltage-free (0 volts), with card inserted
If the voltage data is correct, it is possible that the power supply is registering too much load and is therefore interrupting the contactor control.
Make sure the connecting wires between the reader and the power supply are connected correctly. A to A, B to B, etc.
Only 1 washing machine or 1 tumble dryer can be connected to each WZU system with 20A contactors. If 2 machines or more contactors are connected per output terminal, the power supply interrupts the contactor control because the payload is too high. User cards must not be stored in detergent or cleaned with water (risk of oxidation). Oxidized cards must not be inserted into the reader as they can damage the card reader.

You are welcome to send us the non-functioning card. We will clean the card and test it on our test devices. This service is free of charge. If the card cannot be restored, we will be happy to create a new one for you. Please note that we do not charge private individuals. The service will also be invoiced for orders of 10 or more cards.
Important: Cards that are not in good condition, e.g. broken, glued together, chip oxidized or chip heavily scratched, please reorder immediately.
This also applies to cards that are 10 years old or older.
As a tenant, we ask you to order the card through your administration.
